Dioh Cox Podee

Mr. Dioh Cox Podee is a distinguished Liberian accountant, auditor, corporate executive, university lecturer, and former President of the United Methodist University Alumni Association.

He holds Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Administration, and Associate of Arts degrees in Accountancy. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner with extensive professional training in financial statement auditing, fraud prevention, risk management, International Public Sector Accounting Standards, audit-report writing, grant management, ethics, and responsible leadership.

Mr. Podee began his professional career at the General Auditing Commission, where he served as an Audit Manager for approximately 11 years. His experience at the Commission strengthened his expertise in public-sector auditing, financial accountability, institutional compliance, and the responsible management of public resources.

He later transitioned to the private sector and currently serves as Head of Operations at Aminata & Sons Incorporated. In this senior management position, he contributes to operational planning, institutional administration, corporate accountability, and the effective delivery of the company’s services.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Podee lectures at the United Methodist University, sharing his professional knowledge and practical experience with students preparing for careers in accounting, auditing, business administration, and public financial management.

As President of UMUAA, Mr. Podee helped transform longstanding discussions about the University’s relocation into tangible institutional action. Under his leadership, the Association advanced the groundbreaking of a modern academic complex on UMU’s property in Margibi County.

The estimated US$275,966 project comprises 16 classrooms, two administrative offices, and four bathrooms. It represents one of the most ambitious alumni-led development initiatives in the University’s history. His administration mobilized alumni and stakeholders, secured initial support, and laid important groundwork upon which the current UMUAA leadership continues to build.

Mr. Podee’s career reflects a consistent commitment to accountability, education, professional excellence, and institutional development. His contribution to UMUAA demonstrates that leadership is not measured only by the position one occupies, but by the foundation one leaves for others to continue building.

His legacy reminds the UMU family that meaningful leadership creates structures, opportunities, and institutions that outlive individual tenures.
